Two groups. The same underlying gap.
Better Woman Health was founded by Dr. Ayomide Owodunni, a medical doctor. In clinical practice, she watched a pattern repeat itself: women arriving at critical stages of an illness that could have been caught earlier, confused about their own cycles, dismissed by previous doctors, told their symptoms were normal for women. The information that could have changed their outcomes existed. It just never reached them in time.
That pattern pushed her out of the clinic and into women’s health education, first one woman at a time, then at a larger scale by working alongside the health-tech founders building products for exactly those women. Working closer to that side of the ecosystem surfaced a second, related problem: founders building real solutions, often without a clinician, a peer, or an investor who understood women’s health specifically to build alongside.
Not enough connection to the right information, and not enough connection to each other. Better Woman Health is the response to both.
